The Mardi Gras Track Club

Welcome to the New Orleans Mardi Gras Track Club. The club was originally formed in 1975 by a group of volunteer parents in Metairie, Louisiana. The club grew to over 1000 athletes, parents and volunteers. Team members regularly competed in multi-state, regional and national competition.

The spirit of the Mardi Gras Track Club lives on through a dedicated number of South Louisiana pole vaulters and multi event athletes.

Through the help and generosity of local volunteers and high schools, the athletes have been able to meet the challenges and opportunities welcomed by this great event.

The Mardi Gras Track Club will be holding try-outs for the 2010 summer program. Try-outs are by invitation only through our Director of Coaching, Doug Fraley. The Mardi Gras Track Club is dedicated to the education and growth of the ameteur track and field athelete. Our consortium, of certified and volunteer track coaches, help facilitate the growth and maturity of these atheletes.

The support of local volunteers, throught their time and donations, make it possible for these atheletes to compete at a regional and national level.

The staff of Mardi Gras Track Club thank these dedicated individuals for their countless efforts toward the betterment of youth track and field in New Orleans and South Louisiana.
